UFC is the most exciting promotion in the entire MMA world, mainly due to with the best roster of fighters around the globe. Recently, it has added a fighter who stunned the whole world with his surprising performances.

Yes, we are talking about young Khamzat Chimeav (9-0-0) who first surprised the world by finishing 2 of his opponents in just 10 days, and then after 2 months, he knocked Gerald Meerschaert (31-14-0) out with one punch. There is a lot of gossips all around that he will be the future champion and there is no doubt that the guy is capable enough to climb the rankings up to top, after been inserted as #15 in the welterweight category ranking.

Khamzat Chimaev has recently fought in 2 different weight classes and he looks confident to be one of those fighters who have won a match in different weight categories. Former champions and MMA experts have already set high expectations from him as David Castillo called him the recent monster of UFC and former 2-weight UFC champion Daniel Cormier predicted that Khamzat will be the 2-weight champion in 2021 (we actually predicted this in 2022). The title of being “next big thing” will surely provide the young man with a lot of confidence and his passion for the game will help him winning big games against the starfighters.

As mentioned, Khamzat is now a ranked fighter in the welterweight division and was all set to fight Leon Edwards but this year is being ruthless to everyone as a bad piece of news just arrived that Khamzat is positive for Covid-19 and his appearance on December 19 is in doubt. Now, the UFC will have to see if Khamzat can appear in the fight or they will have to look for an alternate for the big match-up against Leon Edwards (18-3-0).
