Real Madrid loses 3 consecutive games in the Champions League for the first time in 30 years. Real Madrid, the team coached by Zinedine Zidane, was defeated 3-2 by the Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk for their first Champions League game for this year.
On the 21st October, the Ukrainian team had a remarkable performance leaving Real Madrid’s fans not too happy. Needless to say that both the media and supporters harshly criticized Real Madrid players and coach for the recent poor performances. Being one of the all-time great teams, Real Madrid fans have always high expectations.
The number of talented players at Real Madrid should be a guarantee of victory or, at least, much better performances that what we have seen so far during this new season. In addition, the team seems to suffer the injury of Sergio Ramos who could not play in the last few match. However, as reported by Football Espana, the Real Madrid captain has fully recovered from the injury and he is expected to be part of the starting team.

Now, all eyes are on Zidane’s squad for “El Clásico” next Saturday. Real Madrid will clash against their biggest rival this weekend. It could be the last chance for Zidane to stay at the helm of Real Madrid and steer for good a season commenced in the worst possible way.
António Camacho, Spanish ex-player and ex-coach for Real Madrid does not expect Zidane to be fired even if he doesn’t get the much wanted and needed win against Barcelona. “Ramos is a special player, always hitting new records and has a huge influence both inside and outside of the pitch. His absence has a huge influence on making the team not as a capable of winning” he said.
