Mixed Martial Arts is a sport of power, speed, and stamina. There is a lot of talk about the GOAT and the debate has extended since Khabib Nurmagomadov (29-0-0) has announced his retirement.

UFC has ranked Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomadov  as best pound to pound fighter since he never lost a single bout in his professional career. This has infuriated Jon Jones’s fans and UFC took a lot of criticism for this move. Jon Jones (26-1-1) himself posted a video on his Instagram profile saying that 3 or 4 big victories do not make anyone the greatest of all times. In addition, Jones expressly referred to his 14 title defenses and criticized UFC for putting Khabib on the top of the table.

Recently, former two-weight UFC champion Daniel Cormier (22-3-1) has made his great fighters list and shockingly, DC erased “Bones” from that list saying that only winning the games does not matter. Daniel Cormier said that it does not matter how talented you are since a positive drug test eliminates you from the conversation.

Jon Jones was found positive for 2 illegal substances, clomiphene and letrozole, for which UFC had stripped him of the title. Later on, Jones knocked DC out in a rematch but this time, he was Turinabol positive, and the result of the fight was overturned to a “No Contest” and Jones was stripped of the title once again.

Daniel Cormier said that he does not understand why Jones always comes into consideration for being one of the best MMA fighters of all time. Athletes of other sports have been harshly banned for using drugs and, due to this disqualification, they could never make it to the hall of fame regardless how good they were. DC referred to Barry Bonds (a baseball player) who was blackballed from the hall of fame because he was tested positive for drugs.

Finally, Daniel Cormier has mentioned his GOAT list: where he has on top of everyone Khabib Nurmagomedov, second GSP (26-2-0), and third Demetrious Johnson (30-3-1).
