After defeating Lee Selby, George Kambosos has officially earn the chance to fight the undefeated lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez.
George Kambosos is most likely the next opponent of Teofimo Lopez, the newly graduated undefeated champion of the lightweight division after beaten last week Vasyl Lomachenko.
In a spit decision verdict, Kambosos defeated Lee Selby at the Wembley Arena in London last Saturday. We personally believe that George Kambosos had done enough to deserve an unanimous decision. The final cad was 118-110, 116-112 and 114-115 in favour of Kambosos.
Kambosos said after the fight against Lee Selby, “I told you I was too strong, too powerful, too aggressive. Lopez, let’s do it Down Under. Let’s go to war. I want that fight. I’ve got more work to do but that’s the fight I want next”.
We have sees what Teofimo Lopez did last week against Lomachenko, and we have seen what Kambosos is capable of against Lee Selby. We may be wrong, but we see Teofimo Lopez definitely favorite in case of match-up between Lopez and Kambosos.
