LeBron James Sends Condolences to King Von’s Family

LeBron James is arguably one of the greatest basketball player of all time. With his large amount of NBA Championships, and success since coming directly out of high school he is well known by all.

Through his time at the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and most recently the Los Angeles Lakers, he has greatly affected all teams he has played for. Not only is he one of the best players on the court, but LeBron James also is one of the most active NBA players off the court as well. Few days ago, LeBron spoke out on Twitter to send his condolences to the family of King Von and took the opportunity to spread more activism to prevent young African Americans from dying so young.

King Von was only twenty six years old and is the father to three young children. King Von was shot outside a hookah lounge, with two others who also died. The search for his shooter is still alive and well, and we hope these suspects are caught relatively quickly.

There are many other NBA players and former athletes sending their love to the Von family, spreading love throughout the sports world. In times like these, it is important to come together as a community and become stronger than ever while sharing a message of positivity. With more and more young people dying, especially African American rappers, the NBA uses their platform to spread awareness quite well. Overall we just hope this issue comes to an end.
