Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua Fight Discussion Continues
2 min read
As reported by Fightsport, the discussion to arrange the super-fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury continues and it seems that both parties agree to fight each other in 2021.
We are definitely a step closer to the super-fight between the two British heavyweight boxers. During a recent interview with Sky Sports, Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, entered into details about the mega-fight revealing that both fighters are interested in the bout in 2021.
Eddie Hearn said, “You break them up into probably May, June, and then November, December [in case of rematch]. I think it’s about where and of course they’re two British heavyweight world champions, and if one of those fights at least didn’t take place in the UK it would be a shame. I know ultimately people think it’s my decision but it’s really not. We will take all the offers that will come from all around the world and present them to both teams and both fighters. Ultimately, normally, the biggest offer wins”.

However, both AJ and the Gypsy King have some pending fights to win in order to make sure that the super-fight will happen. Anthony Joshua is expected to defend his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO Heavyweight Titles against Kubrat Pulev on December 12th. While, one week before, Tyson Fury shall fight one of the top 10 heavyweight boxers in the WBC rankings. The name has not been disclose yet despite Otto Wallin proposed a rematch.
We will keep you all posted if any news will come up. In the meantime, fingers crossed and let’s hope in 2021!
